The volume dedicated to the city of Milan of the series entitled  “The women protagonist”, by Carlo Enrico Bazzani, was presented yesterday in Milan, at the Hall of Palazzo Castiglioni Orlando (Corso Venezia 47/49).
Maria Luisa Nolli, Chief Executive Officer of areta international is among the 100 “women protagonist” of the city of Milan. A recognition of a path initiated ten years ago when the professionalism, courage, passion and tenacity to focus on advanced research in the field of innovative therapies have transformed the initial idea into business reality.

Thus, in 1999 areta international was founded  as a spin-off of the Lepetit Research Centre laboratories; a service company in the biotechnology field, which provides cell cultures for the development of new biopharmaceuticals. The company has two divisions, research and manufacturing, able to develop research products into innovative biodrugs based on cells, to be used in clinical trials and to treat emerging diseases.

"I was particularly pleased of taking part in this initiative: an opportunity to trace, through the interview, the different steps that led me to become an entrepreneur in the field of advanced therapies, that until a few years ago did not exist in our country" said Maria Luisa Nolli during the presentation of the book.

The book "Milan - The women protagonist" collects 100 portraits of Milanese women, protagonists of economic, political, associational and cultural life of the city. The book is part of the series “The women protagonist - women who made the Italy”, created and directed by Carlo Enrico Bazzani, parliamentary journalist since 1970, in collaboration with the publishing house Comedit Group. The book is sponsored by the President of the Republic, who signed the introduction together with the Presidents of the Senate and Chamber, the Minister for Equal Opportunity, Mara Carfagna, the President of the Lombardy Region, Roberto Formigoni, and the Mayor of Milan Letizia Moratti
