areta's speech at the University of Milan "Bicocca"

4th of July: Dr. Maria Luisa Nolli has been invited as a speaker at the University of Milan “Bicocca” for the students of PhD course in Biology and PhD course in Industrial Biotechnology.

 The title of the speech attended by about 40 students was “Biological drugs and advanced therapy medicinal products: the areta case study”.
After a brief introduction about the biotech industry in Italy, the presentation focused on the case study of areta in the year of its 12th birthday, in particular on company history, internal organization and the contract-based business model of the company. She continued talking more specifically about the two categories of biotech drugs developed in areta as monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins and advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs). She also focused on the unique approach to manufacturing of the company, based on disposable bioreactors and on the quality requirements of these type of products, and how areta is able to manage all these topics in compliance to GMP regulation.
There was a great involvement of students who had the opportunity to know how an innovative biotech company such areta operates and faces new opportunities in the biotech field.
