In vitro prediction of in vivo human intestinal absorbability
CACO tool is a drug discovery tool based on differentiated CACO2 cells monolayer grown on transwell plates. CACO2 is an immortalized cell line derived from a human epithelial colorectal adenocarcinoma. When cultured on 24 transwell plates, the cells differentiate into a polarized epithelial monolayer that forms a physical and biochemical barrier to the passage of ions and small molecules. CACO tool provides polarized cultures of CACO2 cells on polycarbonate microporous filters. The cells are grown and differentiated upon customer request, up to 21 days.
