Manufacturing

areta can manufacture and produce clinical batch of cells, biotechnological products, plasmids, immunological products. With a fully disposable upstream approach, a flexible downstream and lyophilizing capability, areta can deliver to its customers a full range of services to quickly bring their products to clinical phases.

Upstream

areta adapts the process to the physiology of the cells using a customer-focused approach to select the most appropriate bioreactor and culture conditions. The approach with disposable bioreactors makes the process easy to validate and allows for a straightforward scale-up of the batch size.

Disposable and modular bioreactors are the best way to manufacture innovative medicinal products, cutting the costs and reducing the risks of cross-contamination, specially considering the growing interest in personalized medicines and patient-specific treatments. Based on a modular approach, areta can offer a wide range of production scales able to support the production needs up to the final stages of clinical development.

Downstream

Starting from the cell culture, areta offers purification process development, scale-up and cGMP purification of recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies and plasmid DNA.

Roller bottlesareta can develop easily scalable purification methodologies with state-of-the-art technologies introducing disposable materials where possible. Purification protocols can be supplied by the customer or designed by us choosing cost-effective, straightforward and innovative techniques. A number of in process analysis controls may be implemented in order to achieve the best results and consistency.

The downstream capabilities include ultrafiltration, depth filtration, cell homogenization, protein extraction, concentration, chromatography, diafiltration and nanofiltration. Chemical protein modifications such as biotinylation can be performed according to the customer needs.
